Our Story

Our mission is to provide the highest standard of patient care whilst incorporating a holistic approach towards diagnosis and management of illness.  We are committed to promoting health, wellbeing and disease prevention to all patients. We do not discriminate in the provision of excellent care and aim to treat all patients with dignity and respect. 

Ballina West Medical Centre is a small Practice of currently four doctors.  We are located in West Ballina, 5 minutes from local beaches, 20 minutes from Byron Bay and one hour from the Gold Coast.  We have an airport with flights to major cities including Sydney and Melbourne. 

Ballina West Medical Centre has been operating in this area since 2001.  We offer a range of services to suit the needs of a diverse patient base.  Our particular areas of interest are Family Medicine, skin checks, chronic care management and Aged care.

Doctors from the Practice attend our local nursing homes.  We do home visits only at the discretion of the Doctor.

We have long standing administration staff along with Registered Nurses.  We have weekly case conferencing and run Chronic Care plan clinics.  We also have an in-house Pharmacist who visits our patients for Medication reviews.  We are fully computerised.  The Practice does mixed billing and has the facility to do on-line claiming for Medicare.
